Hearing assessment and sound personalisation in the same place
Jacoti HearingKit® is a software development kit (SDK) that allows the development of real-time audio applications for the purpose of processing audio to the unique hearing profile of a listener, including those with normal hearing or with hearing loss. It offers a C++ Application Programming Interface (API) which can be used to provide hearing assessment, hearing loss compensation and sound personalisation on a single integrated audio system.
Note: Jacoti HearingKit® API provides the means for independently activating or deactivating the different modules that use the Jacoti HearingKit® Technology.
Hearing Loss Compensation (HLC) methods and signal processing
Jacoti HearingKit® technology provides hearing loss compensation for individuals through the application of the Hearing Loss Compensation (HLC) algorithm as well as Automatic Gain Control (signal compression), noise reduction and gain maximisation algorithms.
Jacoti HearingKit® also provides a set of presets or programs tailored to specific listening situations like clear speech, natural sound, or music. Jacoti HearingKit®-enabled applications typically use the Jacoti HearingKit® real-time audio processing engine which handles the cascading of algorithms and provides a simple interface for processing audio frames.
